Jr. Team Tennis
Given a choice, there aren't a lot of kids who'd choose to play by themselves. Kids, as you've probably noticed, like to be with other kids. That's the idea behind Junior Team Tennis for youth. It takes tennis - a game long recognized as an individual sport - and turns it into a team activity.

Junior Team Tennis offers boys and girls the opportunity to play on teams in leagues that emphasize fun, fitness and friends. Leagues match players of similar age and ability using the Junior National Tennis Rating Program.

Kids get involved in a healthy, active sport and they stay involved, because they're part of a team. As a result, they learn more than tennis, they learn the importance of teamwork while having a ball with their friends.  In tennis terminology, that's known as a "perfect match."

Jr. Team Tennis for juniors combines practice and match play for those kids eager to compete in a team environment. Teaching professionals and parents are encouraged to become team coaches. Fundamentals, fair & equal play, positive coaching and appropriate groups are emphasized!

Qualifying JTT teams play off in a District Championship and the winning team(s) advance to the Sectional, then USTA National Championships.

New for 2009- L5 Point Structure for Mid-Atlantic Jr. Team Tennis Section Championship!
