Highlights from the 2009 Adult District Championships
The 2009 USTA/Virginia Tennis Adult District Championships were held over two weekends in July (10-12th and 17-19th). USTA/VA Leagues Admnistrator Bill Fitzgibbon worked with USTA Officials to pair both weekends down from 4 days to 3 days this year by adding a second location. Matches were played at Huntington Park and Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. This year's tournament featured the Singha Fast Serve Contest and a Player Party, as well as visits from USTA/VA Board members and Virginia wheelchair tennis players.
